Living with asthma symptom has become a common way of life for most asthma sufferers. Adult asthma obviously has the ability to affect a sufferer's way of life but the experts tell us it doesn't have to. Indeed it doesn't. Especially if the proper precautions are taken.

Asthma symptom can be brought on by a variety of triggers. Sufferers who practice good management practice techniques will live a good quality of life where asthma symptom aren't a constant worry. Did you know in the United States alone, over 17 million people are affected by asthma.

Asthma is described in many forms including allergy asthma, adult asthma; even asthma and acid reflux: with varying treatments. More recently, less mainstream treatment for asthma symptom has surfaced such as acupuncture for asthma.

Acupuncture For Asthma

China has used acupuncture treatment for centuries on different types of ailments. Acupuncture for asthma has been effective for a number of years. The World Health Organization identified acupuncture an effective treatment of up to 40 known diseases with asthma being one of them.

Acupuncture for asthma benefits such things as a reduced dependency on drugs. In the US, states have there own regulated laws relating to qualified acupuncture practitioners. Certainly if you are not getting relief from your current treatment methods then acupuncture for asthma provides another alternative.

Allergic Asthma

Allergic asthma affects over 50 per cent of asthma sufferers. It has been described as a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways.

Allergic asthma forms from an early childhood and sufferers are affected by elements such as dust, mold and pollen. The problem of course is those three factors are hard to avoid so physicians will prescribe medication to reduce the incidence of attack.

Certainly asthma is no fun to live with but it can be controlled. Within these pages at AsthmaInfoLine.com we'll provide a library of views and reviews on asthma, asthma symptoms and treatment and news relating to asthma from around the world.

It's hard to forget the role of the doctor before, during and after an asthma attack. An asthma doctor is often overlooked as a major player in the controlling of asthma simply because people expect he or she, as the doctor, to provide that "safety net" when it's needed. More simply put; they're doctors and that's what they do.

Have you ever stopped and thought for a minute how challenging and demanding the role of an asthma doctor can be. Let's face it, asthma attack can claim lives. Asthma can be unpredictable in a lot of cases.

Due to this reason many patients rush to the hospital in an emergency state and the asthma doctor has to react and administer the right medications as soon as possible failing which, the attack may turn fatal for the patient.

This is the stress and pressure an asthma doctor is faced with everyday. Of course the doctor is well trained and educated in the subject so their ability to react to the situation in the correct manner is virtually assured. The other factor is time with asthma patients suffering an asthma attack; as medications need to be administered at the right time in the right quantity.

Exploring The Relationship Between Doctor And Patient

Asthma treatment guidelines recommend a ‘therapeutic relationship’ to achieve the best results of treatments. It is observed that those who reach the emergency room with an asthma attack do not have a good relationship with his/her doctor. This is a big cause such attacks can usually be controlled, if they are treated, or prevented on a continuous basis, which leads to an avoidance of these life threatening emergencies.

Those patients who have a regular doctor with whom they share a good relationship have a better control and overall understanding of their illness. They are able to deal with emergencies and severe asthma attacks without panic, which, in and of itself, can turn a normal attack, into an severe emergency.

Asthma can be an emotional stage of a sufferer's life particularly during the initial stage. While asthma is life threatening in many instances the fact remains that with proper maintenance, care and supervision, it can be controlled. Building a good relationship with your asthma doctor is vital.

Remember, they are not responsible for you having asthma. The doctor's role though is to provide you with the best guidance possible in preventing or controlling the frequency of asthma attack and then, when needed, guide you through the recovery process when an attack has occurred.
